Contracts Manager / Insurance Surveyor  Insurance Claim Repairs Industry £25-34k depending upon experience plus company car and bonus We are looking for a Contracts Manager / Surveyor for a new role based in the Edinburgh / Falkirk / Fife area. Working for INSUREPAIR® in our very successful property insurance repairs division you will be responsible for scoping and estimating repair works, then contracts managing the works to completion (with the assistance of the trades staff and an admin support team). Working hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm The salary will be negotiable depending upon experience (around £25 - 34k) and you will be provided with a company car and have your own admin support in the office. We may also be able to consider application from Trainee Surveyors / Contracts Managers with relevant trades / insurance reinstatement experience. Job role and responsibilities As a Contracts Manager / Surveyor at INSUREPAIR® you will be working alongside a team of Contracts Managers, admin support, direct labour and sub-contractors in the business. You will be responsible for overseeing your own caseload of insurance repair works (varying in project value but with individual jobs averaging around £5-10k with some up to £50k); Accurately survey domestic properties for fire / flood / escape of water etc. damage Scope the works onto various scoping systems and prepare full schedule of works for sub-contractors/direct labour Schedule repairs and organise allocation of work Ascertain Health & Safety risks and ensure Health and Safety on site Carry out site audits and ensure quality of works on site Deal with variations and any problems on site Act as main liaison between policyholder, trades & admin support for duration of repairs Manage costings & gather all figures/paperwork ready to hand over to Accounts Department for final accounts/invoicing The works are mainly around the following postcodes; EH, FK and KY so you will need to be located in one of these areas. The company do take on larger project works so there may be opportunities to manage other projects like domestic property extensions, office refurbishments and underpinning in the future. What skills/experience will you need? For this Surveyor / Contracts Manager role you will need to have a proven track record of producing accurate scope of works on private domestic properties repairs (ideally insurance claim repairs). You will need an excellent knowledge of trades and relevant costs within this industry and be able to understand/interpret and produce an accurate schedule of works. Excellent customer service, organisational and PC skills are required along with an understanding of the SLA's required with an insurance repairs project. You should be prepared to spend sometime in the office as well as out on the field. If you have experience in using scoping tools such as; Symbility or Synapse this would be a distinct advantage. Package details In addition to the Surveyor / Contracts Manager salary (negotiable dependent upon experience around £25 - £34k) you will receive a quarterly bonus, company car and the equipment required to carry out the role, a health insurance plan, pension and 28 days holiday (inc. Bank Holidays). You will need to live within a commutable distance from the area you will be covering (as mentioned above) and have a full UK driving licence.
