11/02/14 - 13/02/14 - Storm Damage / Water Ingress Claim at Canning Street Lane, Edinburgh with damage to the Roof, Kitchen/Lounge and Bathroom Plasterboard Partitioned Walls and Ceilings. The property is a converted Mews.
         
The damage was caused by falling cast iron guttering. The guttering is heavy and had fallen from a great height before impacting on the watergate, puncturing it, causing a substantial ingress of dirty water.
We were instructed to carry out an Emergency Temporary Roof Repair which involved a Tower Scaffold, and Roofing Tradesmen to install Plaster Guttering in place of the cast iron as well as a patch repair to the watergate.
Internal works will commence shortly after the insurers have issued formal written instruction to proceed.
Charlie and Fraser at Property Management Company, Edinburgh Property Company, are being a huge help and so far have been absolutely brilliant having kept the owners, tenants, neighbours and insurers completely in the loop whilst liaising with ourselves and attending site meetings with us and arranging prospective temporary accommodation for the tenants.
